Sink Your Toes into the Sand–only a 30 second walk from the Delray Beach Marriott

Wade in the Warm Shallow Surf or Walk along the Beach.

Return for a Dip in the Pool or a Massage at the Spa

Enjoy a quiet vacation along the beach–watch the surf, feel the warm ocean breeze and the sunshine. It sounds so relaxing. You deserve it—spoil yourself. Enjoy access to the beach, great restaurants, a pool, an exercise room—and even a spa. Everything you could want all within a stone’s throw of the beach. Are you planning a destination wedding, a conference, or a quiet vacation along the beach?

While staying at the Marriott for a conference, I saw two wedding parties. One was taking photos at the beach and another gathered in the hotel lobby. Delray Beach is a great place for a destination wedding on the Florida coast.

My three-day stay at the Marriott in October involved:

  • A seven a.m. group that walked to the beach to meditate and watch the sunrise.
  • I took breaks from the meetings to walks by the main pool, where I could relax and absorb the sunshine.
  • Some days I had time for longer walks along the beach.
  • I enjoyed the food at O’Grady’s Lounge inside the hotel.
  • The hotel catering services had excellent food with many choices. The deserts were fantastic.
  • On our last night, we had a party alongside the smaller south pool. Here we enjoyed catered snacks and a bar, dancing and socializing.
  • I enjoyed my fifth floor balcony overlooking the main pool with a view of the ocean in the distance. During a break, I sat on the balcony and read a good book.
  • The bed was the most comfortable one I had ever slept in! Several others in my group made similar comments.

The hotel also offers breakfast and lunch at the Seacrest Grill. Lunch and drinks are also offered by the main pool at Cascade Poolside Grill.

Pamper yourself at nSpa

Hotel attendees and local residents often retreat to the spa to pamper themselves. Whether it is for a special occasion or routine upkeep, the spa offers many options. Unfortunately, my schedule was too tight with meetings to schedule a facial or a massage. But I’ll make sure to do so when I return next year.

The spa director, Kim DeOrsey, and Shonnah Vinitsky, the esthetician, took me on a tour of nSpa and discussed their many types of facials and massage. Wedding parties are their specialties.

nSpa specialties include:

  • The Touch Experience offers eleven different massages. These range from a full body Swedish, to deep tissue, to warm oil scalp, and foot massages.
  • The Skin Care Experience offers six types of facials. Facials range from the Sea of Life, Advanced Age Defying, Oxygen Glow, to Rose Infinity.
    • A Signature Transformation facial can restore your skin’s natural beauty, by…
      • increasing moisture by 41%
      • reduce visible lines by 23% and
      • increasing tone by 27%.
    • Regular skin treatments can make you look younger and healthier. They can reduce age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, freckles and irregular pigmentation.
  • The Body Renewal Experience includes exfoliating and softening the skin plus a massage.
  • The Salon Experience varies from express to signature services. Treatments range from manicures, pedicures, hair design, styling, to makeup and tanning services.
  • The Ritual Experience involves several packages that include facials, massage, and salon packages. Plan a morning ranging from 1.5 to 5 hours.

Would I return for another stay at the Delray Marriott? Definitely. The conference I attended meets here every year and I can see why they have continued to use the same venue. The proximity to the beach, the outdoor pools, hot tubs, great food and nSpa make this a great hotel.
